Barracuda Swim Club
Family Financial Account Policy
BSC operates as a not-for-profit organization for the benefit of the club members. It is the desire of the organization to provide quality swimming instruction while maintaining a reasonable dues and fee structure. In order to meet these objectives, the club must receive dues and meet fees on a timely basis. To this end, the following dues and meet fee's policy is being implemented effective June 1, 2006:
A swimmer's account must be up to date to be eligible to register and participate in a BSC attended swim meet
Monthly dues are due the first week of each month unless other arrangements have been made with the Club Treasurer
Meet entry and coaches fees must be paid within one week of when the meet entries are posted
If a swimmer's account is more then 60 days past due, the swimmer's parent or sponsor will be contacted by either the Club Treasurer or one of the Head Coaches to agree on a plan to bring the account up to date. Failure to follow the plan and to bring the account up to date will result in the swimmer not being allowed to practice with the club or participate in club activities.
BSC does not desire to restrict the activities and participation of any of the club swimmers, but recognizes that in order to be equitable to all members, all swimmers' financial obligations must be satisfied. Communication of the provisions of the policy will always be between the Club and the swimmer's parent or sponsor. Under no circumstances will the club discuss financial obligations directly with the swimmer.
The club also recognizes that individual circumstances may temporarily impose a financial hardship on the swimmer's parent or sponsor. In these cases, the parent or sponsor can confidentially discuss their situation with the Club Treasurer or Head Coach to develop a course of action to allow the swimmer to continue to participate in the club.
